The Wyze app is a mobile app, which is dedicated to Wyze outdoor camera setup and configuration. The app helps you view the live video feed of your cameras when connected to the internet. You can view the live video feed of your cameras only if your cameras and your device are connected to the internet.

Setting up a Wyze camera is very easy and quick. You only need to have an active wifi network, a Wyze camera, and a mobile or tablet by your side. In this post, we will discuss the Wyze camera setup instructions and help you understand how to update the firmware afterward.

1. Firstly, download the Wyze app on your smartphone.
2. Thereafter, create an account on the Wyze app.
3. Connect to a wifi network. Your cameras will connect to the same network.
4. Open the app and you need to add a new device. Press and hold the setup button on your Wyze camera.
5. Hold down the button until you hear a beep sound followed by “ready to connect”.
6. Please ensure that you are connected to a 2.4GHz wireless network. Your device should not be connected to a 5GHz network because the cameras don’t support the 5GHz band.
7. Scan the QR code on your camera from your smartphone and follow the in-app instructions to finalize the setup.
